Career/Progression	This is an approved qualification for working as an advanced barber. As a college we work on job progression for each individual learner and will assist with following up with work placement depending on each learners progression throughout there course.

Course Outline

The Level 3 Diploma in Barbering is recognised as a Level 5 Diploma in Ireland. VTCT is an advanced qualification based on National Occupational Standards which will provide you with the knowledge, understanding and skills to work competently as an advanced barber. Through out this qualification you will monitor procedures to safely control work operations, provide consultation services , creatively cut hair using a combination of barbering techniques, design and create a range of facial hair shapes and promote additional services or products to clients.

(Syllabus): Theory & Practical

Dry and finish men's hair
Design and create a range of facial hair shapes
Design and create patterns in hair
Provide hairdressing consultation services
Monitor procedures to safely control work operations
Creatively cut hair using a combination of barbering techniques
Provide shaving services
Develop additional services and products to customers
Contribute to the financial effectiveness of the business
Provide hair and scalp treatments
Colour hair using a variety of techniques
Learners will also be taught the intricate Art of Shaving thus giving learners all the skills and talents to gain employment immediately and start the exciting career as a barber.

We will also be introducing workshop days throughout the course , where learners will see the most exciting barber's in the industry display their skills.

On completion of this course students will gain all the necessary skills to work competently as a highly skilled barber.
