Sally O'Brien - Administrative Assistant Sally O'Brien - Administrative Assistant

Sally has worked in administration and accounts for many years and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the College in this area.  Having always had a keen interest in the Hair and Beauty industry, the College is the ideal place for her to merge her worklife with her interests.


Edel Johnson -  Nail Therapies Educator Edel Johnson -  Nail Therapies Educator

Edel trained in Beauty Therapy in Hendon College of Hair and Beauty in 1999. While gaining a wealth of experience in the industry by working in many high end salons in Ireland she found a love of nail therapies and continued her training in Gel/Acrylic nails, nail art, and advanced gel/acrylic design.

Edel opened her own salon in 2007 and while doing so found a love of teaching and qualified as a nail technician educator in 2008.

Since 2010 Edel has been working along side the team of Sharon Leavy College of Hair & Beauty as our nail therapies and threading educator.

 

 


Jackie Lynch - Aesthetician Educator Jackie Lynch - Aesthetician Educator
Jackie qualified as a Beauty Therapist in 2007 gaining her accredited qualifications CIDESCO, CIBTAC and I.T.E.C. Since then Jackie has worked in both salon and spa environments gaining invaluable experience and passion for the industry.

Jackie opened the doors to her own beauty salon Chica Beauty & Treatment Rooms, in 2010 since then she is constantly educating herself to add to her ever expanding range of treatments to offer to clients and to educate learners towards their future goals.

To date Jackie has qualified in ITEC Train the Trainer, Microdermabrasion, Reflexology, Threading, Specialised Waxing, Lash Extensions, Hopi Ear Candling.

Jackie has a keen interest in education and expanding her own knowledge of the beauty industry, she believes in continuous training and education as well as determination and motivation to enable success and an excellent standard in the Beauty industry.

Jackie is excited to be joining the team at Sharon Leavy college of hair and Beauty since August 2012, where she teaches, Aesthetics, Lash Extensions and Hopi Ear Candling and looks forward to being a part of the development and expansion of the beauty industry in Ireland.


Miriam Griffin - Body Therapy Educator Miriam Griffin - Body Therapy Educator

Miriam trained as an Aestheticienne in 1996. Since then she has continued her studies to expand her knowledge and enhance her skills within an ever changing industry. Miriam has completed course's in Advanced electrology, Advanced waxing and the application of Semi-Permanet enhancement make-up, to name a few area's where she has up-skilled.

Miriam has been running her own Beauty clinic for the last fifteen years and continues to do so, it was there she found her love of teaching and sharing her knowledge and experience with the many trainees she has taken in under her wing, this inspired her to undertake the teaching qualification, and she now works alongside the team at Sharon Leavy College of Hair & Beauty as a body therapy tutor.


Shima Mistry - Makeup Artistry Educator Shima Mistry - Makeup Artistry Educator

Shima is an accomplished Make up Artist who trained at Sydney’s renowned Napoleon Make up Academy 13 years ago.  After moving from New Zealand where she was a dedicated Art student she pursued a career as a make up artist and sought to learn all there was to know in make up application. Today she works as a freelance make up artist in Dublin, Ireland.

 

Shima has worked on many catwalk shows in Sydney, including Mercedes Fashion week and fashion shows at the amazing Sydney Opera House. She’s continued this work in Dublin including working on Irish Television series ‘Off the Rails’.  She is a regular make up artist on photo shoots for corporate and private clients and enjoys the buzz of the photo shoot set.

 

Shima also works as a make up artist for the photographic studio ‘Secret Boudoir’ where she transforms clients on a daily basis using her make up and hair expertise. She has the pleasure of working with women from all walks of life and turns them into modern day boudoir models worthy of gracing any wall. 

The studio offers an exclusive service where many travel from all over Ireland to experience.

 

She’s fortunate enough to have trained intensively with a number of International make up artists in Sydney, London and Dublin including award winning London Artist Louise Constad. Shima continues to update her make up skills keeping her on trend in the world of make up.

 

Shima has worked with many brides across the globe and continues to enjoy making up brides in Ireland for their special day.  Her friendly, calm personality allows her to connect with her brides easily and helps them feel relaxed.  Shima prides herself on being highly organised, which ensures her brides feel safe in the knowledge that they are in good hands from the make up trial to the wedding day.  A bride can be guaranteed their make up will still be perfect in the early hours of the morning. 

She is also a valued make up artist on the Bridal Lounge Hair and Make up team, which helps to create beautiful bespoke weddings with attention to the finer details.

 

She believes make up is more than just make up application, it is an expression and a true art form.
